What has the EU ever done for us?

What about the free movement of goods?

What about the free movement of services, people, workers and capital?

What about the access to a single market with a benefit to GDP of 4-5% or £62bn-£78bn?

  • What about no Tariff Barriers or Customs or the 50% increase in trade worth £400bn with EU countries?

  • What about the inward investment worth $1.2 trillion and the recent deals with Canada and Japan worth $47 trillion?

  • What about the 750 thousand UK citizens who live in other EU countries?

  • What about the costs? Not much at £7.3 billion or 0.4% of GDP, less than Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany and The Netherlands.

  • What about the fact that there has been no war between EU countries since 1945.

So apart from:

  • Freedom of movement of goods, services, people and capital.

  • Access to a single market worth £62-£78bn.

  • Lack of tariff barriers or customs.

  • Increase trade with EU countries worth £400bn.

  • Inward investment worth $1.2 trillion.

  • 750 thousand UK citizens living and working in EU countries.

  • No war between EU countries for over 60 years.
